Job Description
We are looking for an Application Technical Specialist (Unix Administrator / DCR or COBOL Programmer) to support and maintain mission-critical processing systems. This position will be a contract role and will support legacy DCR applications running on SCO Unix environments.
Required :
5+ years of overall application development experience
3+ years of experience with DCR programming language
3+ years of SCO UnixWare administration experience
3+ years of Unix Shell Scripting experience
3+ years of production support experience for legacy business applications
Experience supporting legacy DCR applications on SCO Unix
Experience with flat-file processing and batch job management
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred :
2+ years of experience with legacy procedural programming languages such as COBOL, RPG, or C
Experience debugging and reverse engineering legacy applications with limited documentation
Experience with flat-file processing environments
Advanced skills in technologies such as SharePoint, SAP, Curam, ServiceNow, HL7, or PEGA
