Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Mainframe Developer IV on behalf of our client in the USA (100% Remote). We are looking for a highly experienced Mainframe professional with deep expertise in AmTrust accounting systems and enterprise Mainframe technologies.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, IBM MVS/z/OS, SAS, MQ, and TSO , along with a strong background in Wealth & Asset Management . This individual will serve as a Mainframe SME, contributing to application development, architecture, testing, platform engineering, modernization, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise Mainframe applications.
Develop and support applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, SAS, and MQ .
Provide technical expertise for AmTrust accounting systems and related applications.
Support IBM MVS/z/OS environments and core Mainframe technologies.
Participate in development, QA, troubleshooting, testing, and production support activities.
Work with Global Plus / Unity applications and integrations.
Contribute to Mainframe platform engineering, architecture, and modernization initiatives.
Analyze complex technical issues and provide scalable, reliable solutions.
Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, architecture, and business teams.
Follow Agile development practices and use Git/GitHub for source code management.
Support application performance, system reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of overall Mainframe experience.
4+ years of hands-on experience with the AmTrust accounting system.
Advanced experience with COBOL, CICS COBOL, and JCL .
Strong experience with IBM MVS/z/OS and TSO .
Experience with Base SAS Programming .
Hands-on experience with MQ and FTP .
Experience working with Global Plus / Unity .
Strong background in Mainframe development, QA, and platform engineering.
Experience within Wealth & Asset Management or Financial Services environments.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AMTrust / AMAdministrator .
Experience with Git and GitHub .
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments .
Exposure to enterprise Mainframe modernization and transformation initiatives .
Previous experience serving as a Mainframe SME, Technical Lead, or Senior Mainframe Developer .
